There are many ways that churches can partner with CCHO and participate in ministering to abused and neglected children.
Churches are needed in partnership with CCHO as financial supporters in our mission to bring healing to hurting children and families in His name. Churches who adopt CCHO as a mission are our largest source of donations and financial contributions.
Other areas churches can help:
• |
Special events and holidays |
• |
Participate in CrossRoads, our campus youth group |
• |
Short Term Mission Projects or Youth Missions |
• |
Donation Drives with your church for basic needs such as cleaning and household supplies, paper products, personal care items, and school and art supplies |
• |
Volunteer for maintenance or office work |
***Become a light for children who need foster and adoptive homes. Host CCHO for a Foster Care and Adoption Information Event and/or Pre-service Training. Provide small group support to foster and adoptive families in your congregation or neighborhood. Encourage families and individuals to become foster and adoptive parents. Advocate for children in need.
A special thank you to some of our past participants:
RiverTree Christian Church
RiverTree helped to make Fall Fest a great community event and wonderful time for kids and staff. They also blessed all CCHO staff by preparing the meal and serving at the staff Christmas party.
Discover Christian Church
These guys came in and built a pavilion for Poplar Ridge Stables. They hung drywall in the office basement and in Cottage 6, worked on the playground equipment, and still had time for their Saturday morning Bible study.
Bright Christian Church
Bright Christian Church came in and repaired the roof of the tack room in the barn, raked leaves, and loaned a hand in preparing Cottage 1 for renovation.
Beechwold Christian Church
Each year, there are many churches, groups, and individuals who help make Christmas special for the children in CCHO’s care. This year, we’d like to highlight Beechwold Christian Church. Each year, they hold a sweatshirt drive for every child in foster care and residential care. This year, there were six large bags filled with wrapped-for-Christmas sweatshirts. Pat Hamilton, who heads up the sweatshirt drive, as well as the Swell Group she belongs to who round up school supplies have blessed the children here for many years.
