CityHill has incorporated parent education and support into its home-based treatment model. The training and ongoing education and support groups offered at CityHill focus on the assets and strengths children and families have through relationships, regulation of the family unit, and community connectedness. CityHill's model is a love based approach, rather than a fear based approach, to parenting and discipline.
CityHill offers an ongoing parenting group for those parents who have attended the parent training at CityHill. The training sessions are offered on an as needed basis dependent on the number of interested persons. One-on-one Parenting Instruction is also offered within our home-based programming. This is geared specifically to each family's unique needs and tailored to each child's developmental level.
Children ages 4-18 and their families and their natural supports (extended family members, friends, neighbors, baby-sitters, youth ministers, tutors, etc.) are welcome to participate.
