Children need an environment where they can complete the developmental tasks necessary to become healthy adults. When children have lived in families that have not been able to provide such an environment, residential care, which emulates a healthy family environment, can provide a "corrective experience" where children have their needs met and are able to get back on track in healthy development.
The Children's Residential Center provides:
- The opportunity for children to live in a family setting.
- Developmentally appropriate opportunities.
- An opportunity for children or teens to know who God is and how His love transforms us.
- Weekly individual, group, and family therapy provided by Master's level therapists.
- Specialty groups such as Art Therapy, Social Skills Group, Self-Esteem Group, Independent Living.
- Year 'round access to Reins for Life Equine Assisted Therapy and Poplar Ridge Adventures challenge by choice experience.
- Medication management and psychiatric services.
- Structured recreation programs.
- Family vacations and holiday celebrations.
