Thank you for being a CHAMPION with the TEEN BOYS COTTAGE!
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ
As of June 1, 2019, your monthly cottage update will be emailed to you, in its entirety, at the email address you provided when you signed up to become a Campus Champion. There will no longer be a need to log into this Campus Champions portal, and this page will not be updated moving forward. Instead, you will receive information about your cottage, new residents, prayer requests and everything else you’re used to seeing here, only in your inbox now instead of on our website.
If you have any questions about this change, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of these young residents!
The Teen Boys cottage welcomed a new young man into the mix this month. Craig has transitioned well into his new environment and has been a positive influence to those around him. He enjoys sports and video games. Earlier this month, Marcus was moved to a hospitalization unit to assist in securing stabilization on his mood and emotions. We wish him well in his treatment journey. Bryce is anxiously preparing to leave after the school year is completed. He will be transitioning to independent living.
Overall, the Teen Boys cottage is struggling with displaying proper socialization and positive interactions with one another. Cottage staff and clinicians are working diligently on assisting the boys in improving in these areas. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
Bryce would love prayers sent his way due to his pending discharge at the end of May. He is anxious and struggles with change so this will be a huge transition for him.
Shane is struggling with interacting appropriately and ceasing his bullying behaviors. Please pray that he finds understanding that these behaviors are not okay and there are better ways for him to gain friendships.
Overall, we welcome your prayers for strength and wisdom for our campus community as several of our residents have been displaying inappropriate behaviors and we hope to influence them positively.
Events & More
Last month, we offered trips to Sky Zone, the movie theatre and shopping. This month, we hope to take our guys to an Akron Rubber Ducks game, Acres of Fun and a community park to enjoy the warmer weather. Just a reminder, these activities are available to residents who earn the privilege through appropriate behaviors.
GET TO KNOW YOUR COTTAGE
As a Campus Champion, you can help make the kids in your cottage feel extra special on their birthdays by mailing birthday cards to the CCHO campus or simply filling out the form to the right.
If you would like to send birthday cards, here are some guidelines:
- Please do NOT write the name of the child directly on the card. You can write an encouraging message in the card but because we use an alias for each of the children in our cottages to protect their identity and maintain state regulations, we will write their actual name on the card for you before delivering it to the birthday boy. Simply include a slip of paper inside your card with the name/alias of the child it is intended for and we will take care of the rest!
- Cards should be mailed to:
2685 Armstrong Road
Wooster, OH 44691
ATTN: Campus Champions
- Please note: All cards will be screened to ensure they are appropriate.
The following boys will be celebrating birthdays soon. Thank you for letting them know just how special their big day is!
Send Your Cottage a Note!
Would you like to offer a word of encouragement, a prayer or just a quick hello to the boys in your cottage? Great! Simply fill out the form below and indicate in the body if you want it to go to a specific kiddo or to the whole cottage.
Please note: All messages will be screened by our residential staff to ensure safety and appropriateness before being delivered to the residents.
THANK YOU FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COTTAGE!
