Thank you for being a CHAMPION with the YOUNG BOYS COTTAGE!
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ
As of June 1, 2019, your monthly cottage update will be emailed to you, in its entirety, at the email address you provided when you signed up to become a Campus Champion. There will no longer be a need to log into this Campus Champions portal, and this page will not be updated moving forward. Instead, you will receive information about your cottage, new residents, prayer requests and everything else you’re used to seeing here, only in your inbox now instead of on our website.
If you have any questions about this change, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of these young residents!
April was an eventful month for the Young Boys cottage. We appreciate your continued prayers and support. Jason was discharged to his family in the middle of the month. Both Anthony and Shane were able to have a potential foster family identified for them. Jason and Isaac completed our Thrive Trauma Recovery program and did really well. We welcomed Hudson to our cottage mix. Collin completed a Child Advocacy Center interview and has continued to struggle for most of the month. Shane began art therapy in hopes that he can work towards our Thrive program.
Collin – that he would be able to find a sense of safety and be able to decipher the truth from the lies in his life.
Isaac – that a foster family would be identified for him and provide him with some hope.
Anthony – that this potential adoptive family will work out and be in his best interest.
Shane – that this potential foster family be the right fit for him and will work out well.
Brent – as he begins the Thrive program.
Events & More
The residents did not go on any big outings this past month. However, they were able to eat lunch off campus a few times and go out for ice cream. They also got to spend some money at Five Below. The plan for the month of May is to go to Acres of Fun, go to the movies, go out to eat and spend their allowance money.
GET TO KNOW YOUR COTTAGE
As a Campus Champion, you can help make the kids in your cottage feel extra special on their birthdays by mailing birthday cards to the CCHO campus or simply filling out the form to the right.
If you would like to send birthday cards, here are some guidelines:
- Please do NOT write the name of the child directly on the card. You can write an encouraging message in the card but because we use an alias for each of the children in our cottages to protect their identity and maintain state regulations, we will write their actual name on the card for you before delivering it to the birthday boy. Simply include a slip of paper inside your card with the name/alias of the child it is intended for and we will take care of the rest!
- Cards should be mailed to:
2685 Armstrong Road
Wooster, OH 44691
ATTN: Campus Champions
- Please note: All cards will be screened to ensure they are appropriate.
The following boys will be celebrating birthdays soon. Thank you for letting them know just how special their big day is!
Send Your Cottage a Note!
Would you like to offer a word of encouragement, a prayer or just a quick hello to the boys in your cottage? Great! Simply fill out the form below and indicate in the body if you want it to go to a specific kiddo or to the whole cottage.
Please note: All messages will be screened by our residential staff to ensure safety and appropriateness before being delivered to the residents.
THANK YOU FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COTTAGE!
