Cole needs critical care and connection as he transitions into the new routine of the school year. Your $60 gift can be the start of care, connection, safety and education for Cole.

There is a ten-year-old boy named Cole who needs your help. Cole has experienced severe neglect and violence at home. He has never experienced true love, safety or connection. Cole struggles to believe anyone will ever truly care for him.

You can help Cole receive safe and consistent care for the first time in his life. With your $60 donation, you can give Cole critical care and connection as he transitions into the new routine of the school year. You’ll ensure that he has the care and guidance he needs to make this big adjustment.

With your $60 donation, you can give Cole critical care and connection as he transitions into the new routine of the school year. You’ll ensure that he has the care and guidance he needs to make this big adjustment.

Let me tell you more about Cole and how your gift will give this sweet little boy the safety, care and connection he deserves.

Cole has survived ongoing neglect and abuse by his mother and her boyfriends. He never knew his father and his mother recently passed away from substance abuse. Cole missed multiple years of school and struggled when he did go. Cole was only seen when he did something wrong. He was then severely punished. Not knowing how to manage his emotions, he often mimics the unhealthy behaviors he has experienced to get attention.

The harmful trauma and neglect lingers in Cole’s mind. He doesn’t know how to cope with his pain. His angry and aggressive outbursts can get the best of him. Cole longs to know true safety and to feel fully accepted.

Your gift can help more kids like Cole. Your $60 donation can give a child a day of care with safe shelter, food, therapy, education and healthy connection as they transition into the school year.

Cole believes that everything is his fault and that he’s not worthy of love. He’s afraid of being punished for any little mistake he makes. He just wants all the fear and pain to go away.

Your gift will give Cole and more children like him a chance to finally feel loved and experience healthy connection after living in abuse and brokenness for so long!

You’ll be helping Cole process his relationship-based trauma with safe, trusting adults in therapy, school and social spaces. That’s the most effective approach to trauma healing. When true healing has begun, education becomes more effective.

Cole is weary from all the yelling and screaming. He’s tired of being afraid of doing something wrong. And yet, he keeps trying to earn affection. He desperately wants to fit in. His young heart craves love that is real and safe.

Will you show Cole that his worth is not defined by what has been done to him, but in his identity as God’s precious child? Remember: Every $60 you give will provide a day of critical care and connection for kids in desperate need, like Cole.

What an amazing gift you can give!

I know you believe Cole deserves to be loved unconditionally. To find healing and happiness after all that he’s experienced.

Will you provide Cole with a day of critical care with your gift of $60 today?

Give one child a day of critical care and connection this school year!

ABOUT CCHO

Christian Children's Home of Ohio (CCHO) is a local nonprofit organization that has provided opportunities for donors like you to help abused and neglected children for more than 50 years. Based in Wooster, OH and serving all of Ohio – including Wayne County, Summit County, Stark County, Cuyahoga County, Franklin County and the surrounding areas – CCHO is a safe place for kids who have suffered extreme forms of physical abuse, sexual abuse and emotional abuse, as well as survivors of sex trafficking. Initially licensed as a foster care/group home for children, CCHO has four cottages on its campus that are home to as many as 46 kids, ages 6-18, who have often been abused by parents or other people they trust. During their time with this faith-based charity in Ohio, children learn the tools they need to overcome the trauma they've experienced through various forms of therapeutic approaches (including recreational therapy, music therapy and equine therapy) as well as social, spiritual and educational opportunities designed to aid the child with the healing process, model for them how a healthy family functions, develop coping and life skills, and introduce them to Jesus Christ.
