You can give Maci an entire day of food for only $8.31! Your gift by November 28 will make sure Maci gets the food she deserves this Thanksgiving.
For an abused and neglected child, Thanksgiving is important. You see, for many of the kids at CCHO, Thanksgiving used to be ‘just another day with no food on the table.’
But you can change that – and it starts with food. You can provide an entire day of food for just $8.31 this Thanksgiving!
Maci has gone hungry too many times to count. She hasn’t known where her next meal will come from. She has a hard time believing that anyone will make sure she has food and other basic needs. Maci often feels unworthy of being loved.
But a child who gets the food she needs feels safe. Because she knows someone loves
her enough to give her a day of good food. And you can do that for Maci for just
$8.31!
Your gift will help Maci be safe and feel safe on Thanksgiving. Instead of feeling hungry, scared and lonely. Maybe for the first time ever.
You might wonder how a day’s worth of meals for a growing kid like Maci with a healthy appetite only costs $8.31. State funding covers a portion of daily food expenses; your donation helps pay for the rest. Your part is crucial to ensuring Maci gets the nutrition her developing body needs.
It’s so important that Maci has access to nourishing meals. Children from abusive and neglectful homes are often left to fend for themselves at mealtime. Even during Thanksgiving.
Maci struggles with intense emotions and behaviors. She’s often anxious and defiant – not knowing what might happen next. She desperately wants to feel safe and cared for. You can provide an entire day’s worth of food for only $8.31 for Maci and other kids like her who are used to going hungry at Thanksgiving.
Maci won’t have to worry about where that next meal will come from. Or if it will come at all. That’s how powerful your donation is!
Give a meal to a child by Thanksgiving!
ABOUT CCHO
Christian Children's Home of Ohio (CCHO) is a local nonprofit organization that has provided opportunities for donors like you to help abused and neglected children for more than 50 years. Based in Wooster, OH and serving all of Ohio – including Wayne County, Summit County, Stark County, Cuyahoga County, Franklin County and the surrounding areas – CCHO is a safe place for kids who have suffered extreme forms of physical abuse, sexual abuse and emotional abuse, as well as survivors of sex trafficking. Initially licensed as a foster care/group home for children, CCHO has four cottages on its campus that are home to as many as 46 kids, ages 6-18, who have often been abused by parents or other people they trust. During their time with this faith-based charity in Ohio, children learn the tools they need to overcome the trauma they've experienced through various forms of therapeutic approaches (including recreational therapy, music therapy and equine therapy) as well as social, spiritual and educational opportunities designed to aid the child with the healing process, model for them how a healthy family functions, develop coping and life skills, and introduce them to Jesus Christ.
