Frontline workers caring for others

As Christian Children’s Home of Ohio (CCHO) and our family of ministries remain open during this uncharted time, our staff are among the frontline workers caring for others.

Our children’s residential center staff are helping kids from hard places manage their emotions during a time of many unknowns. They are helping kids stay healthy, stay distracted from current events and stay focused on working on their trauma. We are currently keeping our kids on campus 100% of the time instead of our regularly scheduled off-site outings that residents may earn through positive behavior. Our team is faithfully coming to work each day knowing that at some point they may even get quarantined on campus.

Our Encompass clinicians are helping outpatient clients manage their anxiety and stress both in person and through new telemental health services. They are providing home visits and case management services as safety allows to keep our families healthy and strong.

Our Encourage foster care team is continuing to support families who have opened up their hearts and homes to youth in need. They are doing wellness home visits and helping kids and adults cope during this unsettling time.

Our administrative and logistical support teams are working faithfully behind the scenes to create safe spaces and environments for healing.

We hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy and strong. Stay current on evolving news, but be sure to take a break from the media too. Your mental health is important.

Your prayers mean so much to us as we navigate new information and make sensitive decisions to keep our staff and clients safe and valued. Your prayers mean a lot to the clients we serve who may be struggling even more right now.

Your financial support at this time is critical to keeping our doors open to serve in this way.
