Each year the CCHO campus participates in their own version of the Olympics. It is one of the kid's favorite activities and this year definitely did not disappoint! From June through August the kids have activities centered around team building, creativity and fun! Each cottage works hard to win the "golden scooter " which goes to the cottage champions in the closing ceremony!
The opening ceremony begins with each cottage showing their team spirit through the creation of their flag. After that, they had to find the staff members who were hiding to get points. The opening ceremony then concluded with tug-of-war over a vat of syrup, a paint-war and a slip-and-slide!
Each week there was something different such as chalk & coloring contests, team building, minute-to-win-its, and building a carboard boat to float in the pool! The closing ceremony was full of shouts of victory from the teen girls as they received the "golden scooter" and took some laps of victory around the campus! Everyone got to enjoy Chipotle generously donated by the Caring Closet and it was so great to see the huge smiles on the kid's faces as they got to simply enjoy being kids.
