Christian Children’s Home of Ohio (CCHO) is pleased to announce Kurt Holmes as our new Director of Development, effective June 15. Kurt will also serve as a member of the agency’s executive team.

Kurt’s professional journey has been shaped by service‑centered leadership. After a successful career in higher education—including time at The College of Wooster—he stepped into the executive director role at LifeCare Hospice. Holmes brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, relationship development, and strategic planning.

“We are excited to welcome Kurt to the CCHO leadership team,” said Kevin Hewitt, President and CEO. “His passion for service, combined with his proven ability to cultivate relationships, will play a vital role in expanding the reach and impact of our ministry.”

As Director of Development, Kurt will oversee major giving initiatives, donor stewardship programs, and mission‑driven communication efforts that highlight the transformational stories made possible through donor support. He will also work closely with churches, foundations, and community partners to expand the reach of CCHO and our family of ministries.

When he’s not leading development initiatives, you’ll often find him working on projects at his hobby farm, volunteering with the Salvation Army Board, supporting youth through Scouting America, and serving with Kiwanis to strengthen local outreach.

“I am honored to join an organization with such a powerful mission and legacy,” Holmes said. “I look forward to partnering with donors, churches, and community leaders to ensure that children and families continue receiving the hope and healing they deserve.”

Please join us in giving him a warm and heartfelt welcome to the CCHO family.
