    A strong academic year

    The 2019-2020 school year is coming to a close across our country in a very different way than it started. Our hearts go out to students, parents and staff who have made major adjustments in their education format. We are proud of your efforts. We ache for those who missed significant school milestones such as graduation and prom. We are heartbroken for students who do not have supportive adults and resources to learn well from home.     It’s back-to-school time! We hope your children are transitioning well into the school year routine. This is a big change and can be a struggle for students as they settle in with peers, teachers and schedules. We’re looking forward to kicking off the new school year for the youth in our residential center. In the early days of CCHO, student-age residents attended public school locally. In more recent years, we have provided classrooms with licensed teachers right here on our

    Joey was a kindergarten student when I met him. He had the typical chubby cheeks of a kindergartener and he was missing his two front teeth.
