Certified Best Christian Workplace 2020

Celebrate with us! For the fourth straight year, CCHO and our family of ministries is once again a Best Christian Workplace, Certified for 2020!

The Best Christian Workplace rating is determined through an anonymous employee survey through Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI). This annual survey measures workplace health in eight areas: fantastic teams, life-giving work, outstanding talent, uplifting growth, rewarding compensation, inspirational leadership, sustainable strategy, and healthy communication.

“It is very gratifying to work at a place that is making an eternal impact in the lives of those we serve,” said Kevin Hewitt, president and CEO. “We continue to work hard to develop a culture that allows each staff member to grow personally, professionally and spiritually.”

We are pleased to share that our employee survey score rose 12 points from last year placing CCHO in the healthy category. The feedback from this evaluation tool helps us make more progress each year toward our ultimate purpose of helping people (including our ministry staff) experience their worth in Christ.

Survey feedback in prior years has helped improve several benefit offerings, establish agency-wide communication practices, and guide staff development opportunities. We believe this year’s survey results will also influence agency growth internally and externally.

“The work is ongoing as CCHO leadership unpacks the survey information so we can learn as much as possible and implement changes that benefit staff wellbeing,” said Jennifer Harley, SHRM-SCP, Director of Human Resources. “We appreciate the thoughtful feedback and suggestions and are grateful for team members who strive to strengthen organizational culture.”

CCHO and our family of ministries is a staff of more than 150 individuals serving in four distinct ministry areas: children’s residential center, foster care, outpatient mental health and administration. For more information about putting your faith in action at work, visit ccho.org/jobs.
